Several years ago, the 2-disc album by the Tafiychuks family band was released – "Hutsul Tunes". (You can read more about it here: http://www.umka.com.ua/eng/catalogue/authentic-performing/the-tafiychuks-family-group-hutsul-s-ki-nahravannja-2cd-hutsul-folk-tunes.html)

Now, only a few copies of that release have been left – so, we offer the same recordings in a new design. This time, each of the two discs is offered separately – thus, there is no need to buy the both at once.

Disk one – tunes on dudas, violins, cymbals and songs.

Disc two – wedding music. Actually, it was recorded during a real wedding in the Carpathian Mountains – and on the cover you see the picture of the just married at whose wedding it took place.

Meet – the authentic folklore ensemble from Verhniy Bukovets village of Ivano-Frankivsk region, the Tafiychuks family group. "Melodies of the Carpathians" is the first album by the ensemble. However, you would not call these people novices – the surname of the Tafiychuks is well known, at least, to those few thousand people who have at least once visited Sheshory ethnic festival.
