Oleh Sozanskiy, Taras Lazurkevych. Bandurna rozmova.

Both of these two young bandura players are all-sufficient, both of them successfully give concerts, both of them have more than once won international contests and festivals not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. And here in front of you, there is their first solo album and it is really powerful. Without exaggeration. There is such great power both in their performance and their voices, such truth and something more, which enchants you from the very first second. This wonder is as simple as a sprout, which is capable to breach a stone on its way to the sun light. You will see by yourselves – these are two rays. Which meet. And here, in this point a corner appears. In this particular case – viewpoint. It is the case when a sum is much more than simply addend plus addend. It might seem that everything is well-known here. And you would not call bandura the newest instrument, and the songs recorded at this disc are more than one hundred years old. But the fire is present here, which I will not describe with words. Still, it should be like that, when talented people meet for the sake of a common cause. In any case, it seems as if these two had succeeded in that.

This is a collection of Christmas songs – and one tends to expect that this kind of albums are unwrapped in an unhurried way, have a kind of enlightened, relaxed moods, or even the "pink syrup". Here – the musicians did it differently. From the first seconds, the percussion unequivocally hints: that will be music with a joyful drive, and so it proves later...

Georgiy Matviyiv. Exit.

The musical art of Georgiy Matviyiv is a great example of continuation of the kobzar traditions. Informal and innovational in the same time, his attitude to the instrument realized in authors plays for the bandura and in authors performance of these plays, describing ancient kobzars traditions of the attitude to bandura, as to a "loyal wife"...

найкращий диск з бандуристами. немає скиглення і похмурих пісень. всі пісні жвавенькі і їх хочеться слухаті і слухати

I recently purchased 6 CDs from this website. This CD was the best one. The artistic quality is outstanding. The artists are exceptional. The selection of songs is great -- not even one bad song on the CD. The recording quality is superb. This CD gets a rating of 9.5 out of 10. WOW!
