This recording is a kind of a summary of the almost 25-year artistic career. The seeming simplicity hides a far not that simple world. Above all, sure, due to the material: the album, among other things, includes works by Hryhory Skovoroda, old psalms, and chants. However, it is the pieces by Skovoroda that became the "heart" of the album – actually, the duo takes its name from his collection "The Garden of Divine Songs..." And thus, apparently, there is just the bandura, the viola, and the two voices – but the depth does not always require a lot. The main thing is that it is accurate, and it looks like the musicians have managed to succeed, to discover an interesting combination. On the one hand – Tetyana Loboda with her, so to speak, "academic" presentation. On the other – Mykola Berehovy, whose playing the viola and singing often sound very close to the folk tradition, form a kind of a bridge towards the wandering lyre players of the past. As a result – the Baroque echo, but with slightly different lines and accents. A sort of a third dimension, the famous depth of the perspective arises, and it slowly, imperceptibly diverts the focus to another field. There the wind smells of time – but, surprisingly, it also frees from the shackles of it..
The release contains a 12-page booklet with photos and detailed information about the duo and the repertoire presented on the CD.
