Trio of bandura player "Ukrainka". Ja jidu dodomu!.. (I am going home!..)
This trio, as well as any another one, consists, naturally, of three people. But we will still hear here a double trio. As, on the one hand, it will be masterful playing the bandura, and on the other – we will hear a vocal trio. The both compounds deserve high estimations – successful performances in more than two dozens of countries confirm it. The bandura is in itself an interesting instrument – and when three of them sound, it becomes even more interesting. I would like to emphasize that at that the soundings remains very transparent. I think that it is a proof of serious mastery – not to intrude with each other, so that music were at the same time both transparent, and sated. Well, and, again, the singing. One can be sure that each of these voices separately would sound nice and self-sufficient. Together they form a very pleasant timbre palette, in which depth, and softness, and sonority are present equally to their full. Here, there is something in common with old frescos – one at once feels a sort of correct basis. And – staying lightly aloof from peripetias of life. So that they did not distract from the main thing.

Hetman quartet. Otaman.

"Hetman" stands out due to an extraordinarily positive mood, this quartet is able to sing so that all sad or, say, concerned reflections are washed off as if with a wave. A strong wave, we should say. It would seem that these are just four voices – but what kind of!

I first heard this very talented trio of women who play the bandura on a different website, and was excited on hearing their joyful and melodious music both in playing and in singing. The CD will be enjoyed very much, for many years. It is a real treasure!
