Sometimes it seems that bard songs have already disappeared. And if not, then they have become unpopular and uninteresting. Actually it’s almost so, if to analyse the whole nation or even the world. The times, when hundreds of thousands, and moreover millions of people listened to bard songs are gone. So now this phenomenon exists in narrow circles of knowledgeable people as it used to be from the very beginning. And what is more - it’s a benefit, because only those pass the test of time, who continue to believe, those, who didn’t lose their sincerity and skills. Yes, there are not many of them nowadays, but this is because only casual people disappeared. And it’s not the least reason. Only those are still here, who are alive, but, unfortunately, there cannot be many of them anyway. It seems that Oleksandr Smyk doesn’t stop learning something new – and this means that he returns to the primary sources from time to time. So perhaps it’s not by chance, that this album (the latest for today) consists of tourist songs, as the author called them. By the way, once everything began with these songs too…
