Lviv chamber orchestra "Academia". Lviv impression.

This disc is a sort of anthology that represents two displays of the city of Lviv in art at once. On the one hand, the highest degree performance mastery that is carried in space and time by Lviv chamber orchestra "Academiya". And on the other – the composers’ skills. For here it is possible to hear already classical pieces by the most interesting Lviv composers. M.Kolessa, V.Kamіns'ky, M.Skoryk, Yu.Lanjuk, O.Kryvolap are no doubt the pride of not only the city, but also of the whole country. They are very different, each has his bright individual manner. But – all of them are Ukrainians, and national motives, though seen at different angles, are present in all of them. Besides, all of them are children of their city – and it also reveals itself in the delicate manner, in intelligence of the musical engineering. But the main thing is that all of them are real people, living and inspired. Otherwise, there would be no heart in this music, and, in its turn, it would not make one’s heart sing.
