This disc is purely presentational – that is, it is not a documentary or feature film on the theme set. The disc contains a collection of materials – show performances, comments of historians, an interview of the founder of the modern combat hopak school – which may to some extent illustrate foundations and the status of the martial art in today's Ukraine. Quality of recordings presented here is not great – but we still decided to offer this publication to our visitors, because to date, unfortunately, there are just no other video presentations of combat hopak.
