Zamky Zakarpattja. (DVD). (Medieval Castles of Transcarpathia)
"A gripping trip across the medieval castles of the Transcarpathian region. Historical events wrapped in myths and legends will in bright detail represent the epoch of the "dark ages" of Europe. You will see how empires blossomed and fell into decay, how the future of European peoples was born in the maelstrom of bloody wars.

Their fate was to appear in the uneasy time of invasive wars, dynasty squabbles and religious disputes. They became eyewitnesses of the cruel history of the Middle Ages – the period when European nations and their borders were formed. Exactly here was the epicenter of human feelings, tragic defeats and heroic victories, treacherous treasons and legendary love".

In Ukrainian, Russian, English, Hungarian.

A huge "thank you" to Christiana Stoose for her review of this DVD. It convinced me that it would be an important addition to my library of historical DVDs. The history within it is incredibly interesting, and riveting - like a book one is unable to put down. Previously I knew little of the Carpathian region and nothing of Transcarpathia in Ukraine. I recommend it highly for anyone who is interested in ancient history, and especially this region of Eastern Europe.

fabulous, LOVE IT...
More and more needs to become part of the public domain and not suppressed hidden archives of the Soviet Union. everyone's culture and country of origin is precious to them personally and to the broader human story spanning thousands of years in all corners of this earth.
Every culture is a pearl in the collective human memory which only linds us all while it enriches and educates validating that which is the best in all of us...throughout the ages.
thank you from an old ww2 refugee. who could never revisit this ancient home of so many.
