Marvel. V kazhdom yz nas. (In Each of Us)

Recently, when speaking about the first album by "Delia" group, we mentioned that not a lot of heavy music with a female vocal was released in Ukraine. In fact, that is true, but this is – here you are – the first album by Kyiv group "Marvel". Nobody would call this light music – that is for sure. Concerning the vocal – Olga Skrypova is responsible for it in the group. Stylistically, this is exactly modern alt-rock – in which the emphasis is put not so much on hard sounding as on melodiousness and variety of arrangements (is it not for the reason, in particular, that the song lyrics are also composed by Olga?). As a result, in spite of its belonging to the "heavy" direction – music by the group is quite easy for perception. In our opinion, it is possible to notice in it something in common with the first release by "Fakultet" – although transparent folklore influence can be found in the manner of singing there. In the case of "Marvel" – we hear a manner that is, so to speak, more urbanized. And since the album is bilingual, it is interesting to note the following: songs in Ukrainian here are energetic, inflammatory, fast; songs in Russian, instead, - more lyrical. Not exceptionally – nonetheless... And one more thing: KNOB actively participated in the work on the album's sounding – and this has long been a guarantee of certain quality, right?
