If you know at least something about the Ukrainian variety art, there is no need to tell you anything about Sofia Rotaru. Really, what else can be said about her? Should you say once more that after she had performed such songs as "Vodograi" and "Chervona Ruta", there was no person in the former Soviet Union who did not know her? That she was one of a few who performed songs in three languages – by the way, performed equally well? That unambiguously she is one of those people, thanks to whom Ukrainian songs are listened to and liked by not only Ukrainians? These are all obvious things. All Ukrainians know songs performed by her. If you know them too, then afford yourself pleasure and listen to this disc. If you do not know them, it might be a nice chance to get acquainted with one of the best Ukrainian variety art performers within the period of time of 20 years. At that, she remains one of the best till now. Moreover, she is not going to disappear for the greatest pleasure of all her admirers.
