It is known that the name "Petrovychy" is not for nothing but because Petro is still the father of the majority of its participants. It is known that they are not ashamed at all to play under open-skies – that is why central streets of Ivano-Frankivsk accepted them long ago. From spring to autumn, almost weekly – and the musicians do not remain unnoticed. As they play not just well, but even very well – they have already had time to become a real decoration and pride of the city. And from now on, after their first album has been finally released – we hope, by the way, that it will be continued – this group has quite good chances to become in the course of time pride of already the whole country. At least, nobody can deny Petrovychy's potential. They both play and sing well – at that, they are so deep in this business that they feel free to create and perform their own music as well. It is necessary to admit that they do that somewhat naively, but really nicely – both own and folk material sounds native. That is – from the soul.

Meet – the authentic folklore ensemble from Verhniy Bukovets village of Ivano-Frankivsk region, the Tafiychuks family group. "Melodies of the Carpathians" is the first album by the ensemble. However, you would not call these people novices – the surname of the Tafiychuks is well known, at least, to those few thousand people who have at least once visited Sheshory ethnic festival.

Сьогодні слухала їх вперше на дні міста Рахова. Дивовижні. Це якийсь етно-джаз. Вони творять живу музику, вони творять дійство . Пластика соліста подібна до пластики Миколайчука. Інколи сумбурні, але все рівно сподобалися. Надіюся, що не зникнуть .

Excellent groupe ! Les interprétations sont très variées et donnent des versions renouvelées d'airs pourtant bien connus mais qu'on redécouvre avec beaucoup de plaisir et même d'étonnement. Bravo !
