Quite a lot of Ukrainian groups have really pied performance geography outside of Ukraine, and Gaydamaky are no exception here. But Gaydamaky are one of those groups – that enjoy really loud popularity in Europe. Loud enough to engage in listening to Ukrainian music even those people who have never ever heard about Ukraine before, to say nothing about its music. However, there are now more and more of such "music ice-breakers" appearing – but Gaydamaky still remain among the most successful and the brightest ones. And take into consideration that the issue here is not classic variety art, not folk songs, not sabers and "sharovary" trousers – and it is for this reason that Gaydamaky deserve that respect that they have absolutely. They follow their own creative path becoming at that ever more commercially successful – this, you should agree, is a talent. Considering that Gaydamaky have been demonstrating this tendency for four albums in succession already – we have nothing but to warmly welcome such purposefulness. It is also nice to remark that the group's music has once again grown more powerful than it used to be. Besides, its imagery can be quite confidently compared with literature – in its various displays. That is, there is music similar to laconic poems, to a quiet story, to magic fairy-tales, to trash tales... In the end, "Kobzar" as such is a book, collection of diversified stories. And Gaydamaky group appears here as far not the worst writer...

Some of these songs could be heard at Foma's performances back in 2014. Time flies, sure – now there are more of them. Because the theme remains unchanged – the war, which came about then, lasts as of the eve of 2018, when the album is finally released. The country is painfully transforming itself. The price is loss of illusions, inoculated so long ago and so deeply...

It would seem that with such a title one should expect from the album if not pink tears with ruffles – then, in any case, some average ballads. But "Rock-H" from the very beginning stood out against the background, and this time, too, they do not disappoint.

Even though "Wonderful World" seems to continue the trend of combining rock aesthetics with ethnics – now it sounds different. It sounds as if the band was able to rethink and synthesize all the previous groundwork – thus, when Oleh Skrypka defines this new piece as "velvet symphonic punk", that is not that much of an exaggeration..

"Kozak System" offers a bright mixture of modern and folk poetry, powerful rock, ska-punk with insertions of reggae, and everything is kept together by the serious frame of the Ukrainian folk root. In short - you should meet them again.

Well, finally a new disc by the boyan Zhyvosyl – Vasyl Lyuty – has appeared. I think that anyone who had already heard his songs before could not help waiting for something new. There is such force in his texts, and in music – live indeed – that it is almost impossible to listen indifferently, not to get penetrated with it.

Гурт Гайдамаки створює найкращу музику, що є на теперішній час в Україні. За драйвом вони рівні "Братам Гадюкіним", за глибиною творів - "Плачу Ієремії", за силою звучання - рівним їм немає.
Головна чеснота гурту - європейськість. Чи Ви можете уявити на теренах цивілізованого Старого Світу усю нашу попсню, яка органами удовлєтворєнія крутих пацанів намагається видавати звуки у мікрофон?..
А от Гайдамаки своєю музикою змушують всіх повірити, що наша країна не остаточно таки перетворена на генетичний Чорнобиль...
Що до останнього альбому, то він є наступною вершиною у творчості гурту. Мені подобається все, що створюють Гайдамаки, але тепер розумієш, що і "Богуслав", і "А вже років двісті", і "Листопад" - то був шлях угору, навпростець до теперішнього "Кобзаря".
Найсильніші твори - "Лелеки", "Маруся", і, особливо, - "Мені здається".
Драйв, енергія, голос і сила крові, агресія і світло надії - ось що таке "Кобзар".
За що його творцям - прещира дяка.

I liked the Kobzar by Haydamaky. However, they could have made "Jixav Kozak" a little more interesting in the beginning, the singer just talks and it does not at all fit with the music. The vstup is so SHORT!!! It was such a beautiful melody, yet I wasn't able to enjoy it because of it's short length!! Meni Zdayetsya and Marusa were my favourite songs, hope to hear more of those kinds of metal songs from them. Great Album!

Спочатку очiкував бiльшого вiд альбому...
Але потому, просто розслабився i ДУЖЕ насолоджувався тим що Гайдамаки робили роблять найкраще...!
Їду Трамваєм - Мені Здається - Спокуса
Можна слухати слухати.
