Oleh Skripka is the leader and front men of the most popular Ukrainian rock-group VV. There was Oleg Skripka solo concert in Kyiv Politechnical institute last summer. Ensemble of Song & Dance of Military Forces of Ukraine took part in that concert.The songs, that were recorded on that concert, are presented now on this beautiful CD. Oleh has show all the best of his talents: artistic performance, playing on various musical instruments, a lot of experimental songs. Listen to this CD - it will get you into cheerful mood.

In terms of the sound, one would call this album, quite unexpectedly, ... a collection of romantic songs. The manner of performance, the melody pattern are somewhat reminiscent of Ukrainian "vocal and instrumental ensembles" of the 1970s-80s: there was in that music a sort of sunshine, innocent, trusting openness to the world. Here – the same.

Rogachevsky is the current guitarist of "VV". Starting from as long back as 1998. But he was also engaged in music earlier – actually, fruits of those exercises are collected in this double disk. We admit – these fruits are strange, and not everyone will enjoy tasting them. But if you like minimalism, punk, ska and rock-and-roll – by no means pass by it.

This is the disc that I play to people when I want to explain why I love Ukrainian music. I play them the 3 tracks with the army chorus - especially Jihaly Kozaky - and it's a good introduction for them! These versions are even more powerful than those which VV recorded. Brilliant.
