The fourth studio album by Voanerges is, one could say, a sign of fire. Foremost, the internal one – without it, it is just impossible to so consistently follow the chosen path staying aside from trodden commercial highways. But the external one as well – because this music contains so much energy that it definitely leaves no room for indifference. Somewhere, it mesmerizes with art-rock passages, somewhere – it shamans with dusky rhythms, somewhere – adds a plenty of folklore patterns. We should specifically mention that apart from the Ukrainian language, the Old Slavonic one sounds here – and this is, of course, a very impressive turn. As for the lyrics, there are enough relevant, poignant realities, so combined with the modern music enriched with archaic motives – they produce a very interesting effect. It seems like you are in a dual time stream, look simultaneously from inside and from a distance – until at some point you realize that the past does not exist.
