At first I thought that this disc is devoted to family variety duets, but that's where I was wrong. However, we can’t speak about pop art here either. In any case, to my best believe folksongs remain folk ones even if they are performed by professional singers. As for this disc, not only folksongs are recorded at it. But if we are going to talk about variety art, it is better not to talk about the variety art of today – you see, this disc contains old recordings, some of them are more than 50 years old. To tell the truth, they have not become less beautiful because of that – you simply shouldn’t compare them with modern music. They are somewhat different. And it is very good. It is exactly due to this fact that it is easy to listen to them without comparing with others. It is easy to listen to them and to hear their beauty and harmony, as well as their skilful musical framing. To say nothing about the voices of the performers – now you seldom have the chance to hear such voices. Thanks to such discs you feel gratitude to people who have preserved musical marchives.

The theme of today's disc is close to, as a minimum, half of human population of the planet. Judging by everything, it was also close to the performers represented here – these songs are performed with appreciable enthusiasm.

Диск используется в школе искусств, его слушают дети. Подбор материала и качество исполнения - замечательные. Оформление выполнено со вкусом. Жаль, что при пересылке был поврежден футляр.

Інформація приємно здивувала і вразила. Така музика є для українців воістину духовною поживою, адже сучасний примітивізм і безголосся уже добряче набили оскомину. Прикро, звичайно, що ці записи не надходять у масовий продаж і навіть жодним чином не рекламуються, але тішить бодай одне - вони є. Упевнений: якщо такі диски зможе придбати кожен бажаючий, то популярність вєрок сєрдючок та іншої подібної гидоти значно знизиться. Дякую!!! Ігор, м. Чернівці

I do love the full sound of the choir in most of the songs. Some of songs are not great, ie., the ones from the Play (its better to see it on stage), and in fact there are too many of these for one album (I would have split them between two), but the first half of the album I loved so I guess I will be happy with that portion.

The Ukrainian Dues is a very nice disc also. The voices are beautiful to listen to. Although I do not personally remember hearing these songs I know my mother enjoys them and humms along with them. They make the days a little shorter for her.
