The third album by Kholodne Sontse could just never happen due to the prolonged and severe disease of their frontman, Vasyl Gotsko. However, starting from some point things turned to the better, Vasyl began recovering, the new material was recorded, the digital release took place, and then – the disc release. On the one hand, the aforementioned hardships explain why the sound of the album may seem not as polished as in the previous works. On the other, this situation of being on the verge of non-existence seems to have caused a change of intonations: Vasyl's voice now has less of a "theater" and more of some non-obvious power, which manifests itself in spite of, not due to circumstances. Because of this, the branded twilight nature of the lyrics is perceived not as a tribute to the image, but as living experience, albeit routinely tinted with romantic drama colors. I wonder where it will go if it's going to develop. But "Black Wine", one way or another, is a necessary step on the way, recording of the inner moment of triumph – an important condition for the journey to continue.
