1950. The Second World War ended long ago, but in the territory of Western Ukraine, in Carpathians, the armed struggle was continued by weak, bloodless, but unbroken in their spirit armed forces and small troops of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) – not that long ago mighty, well organized and schooled, which had to conduct its unequal struggle on two fronts: first, against German invaders, and then – against the Bolshevist aggression. The prominent Commander stood at the head of the Army: the legendary general-horunzhy Roman Shukhevich – Taras Chuprynka, whose fate became the basis for the film. The film "Unsubdued" respresents not only a sharp dynamic plot, but also a real attempt to use artistic means to convey to the audience the truth about events of war and post-war time in Western Ukraine.
The movie is in Ukrainian only. It has English subtitles.

Один з найулюбленіших моїх фільмів!!! Багато разів його дивився та вирішив знову його придбати для подарунку свому керівнику на роботі... Нехай теж знає правду, як це було... Дивився фільм "Нескорений" на одному диханні, не міг відірватися від екрану!!! Фільм дуже масштабний, гра акторів просто чудова!!! Вічна пам'ять героям, які билися за нашу незалежну Україну!!!
Спеціально купую фільми Олеся Янчука, щоб мої діти знали правду про героїв УПА і про наших заклятіх ворогів - москалів!!!
Дуже горджуся, що ми - УКРАЇНЦІ! Ми велика нація!!!

As a Ukrainian who was born in Lwiw and emigrated to the United States in 1949 as a 10 year old , I appreciate your store immensely and command you for offerings from which I made purchases and hope to continue to make purchases, I especially appreciate the film "The Undefeated" and command its great director Oles Yanchuk for bringing to the screen events I have heard about and read about. In conclusion, I would like to say that Oles Yanchuk derves much more credit and acclaim that he is receiving world wide and that in my small way I will try to contribute to increasing his reputation,

Макс, в Украине дискусси вокруг роли ОУН и УПА идут уже много лет. Это в российских СМИ такие дискусси невозможно провести. Видимо, не всем нужна правда?

Ещё одна картина Олеся Янчука о судьбе Романа Шухевича. По стилистике в целом напоминает Аттентат. Фильм интересный, захватывающий также с политическим оттенком. Только один момент отмечу, о роли бойцов УПА, точнее их лидеров в событиях тех лет. В данном фильм демонстрируется вынужденное сотрудничество последних с немецком оккупационной администрацией и даже сцены острых конфликтных ситуаций между ними. Между тем в отечественном (российском) эфире демонстрировались фильмы о соотвествующей тематике, где на основе документальных свидетельств изобличалось более чем тесное сотрудничество обоих сторон и даже патронат одной стороны (естественно немецкой) над другой. Ну и так далее. А вот конструктивных дискуссий на подобные темы в СМИ всё как-то не получается провести.
