Denys Mandzyuk. Krajina Halychyna: mistsya, podiji, lyudy. (Halychyna Country: Places, Events, and People)
"In 1578, Cossack leader Ivan Pidkova was executed. Exactly 400 years after – the song "Chervona ruta" (Red Rue) by Volodymyr Ivasyuk became the most popular song in Ukraine. The thing that is common for the two iconic personalities is that the both of them lived in Halychyna. As well as the inventor of the kerosene lamp Jan Zeh, the author of the music of the Ukrainian anthem Mykhaylo Verbytsky, and the performer of the first act of terrorism in the Austrian Hungarian Empire Myroslav Sichynsky... The collection includes articles by journalist Denys Mandzyuk that have been published in "Gazeta Po-Ukrainsky" and the magazine "Kraina" during 2007-2014. The themes of the materials cover the history of Galychyna from the 17th century until today."
