"...In the 1960-70s in Lviv, the variety jazz band "Medicus" (leader – Igor Khoma) and its soloist, a student of the medical institute Oleh Dorosh, were very popular. Lviv residents especially loved his performing of the song "Silver Ring" (...) On November, 25, 1970, Oleh Dorosh was invited to our family holiday. Not tall, with a somewhat watchful glance but merry eyes and sincere smile, he soon got accustomed to a new community and became its soul (...) Having no relatives in Lviv, Oleh visited us quite frequently. These meetings grew into merry improvisational concerts, so sometimes we had to beg pardon to our neighbors for the too powerful voice of the "little Caruso". In 1972, Volodymyr Ivasyuk, the then already famous all over the Soviet Union composer, poet and singer, came from Bukovyna to study in Lviv. I told Volodya about Oleh and arranged their meeting. Having listened to vocal capacities of Dorosh, Ivasyuk offered him to sing together and to record on the radio his new song "Song Will Be Among Us". A bit of time passed, and Lviv broadcasting was enriched with another wonderful Ukrainian song..." Lyubomyr Krysa, photo artist
