The one responsible for the vocal in this Ternopil collective is
Iryna Muzyka – a familiar name? We could already have heard her voice due to the solo album of lullabies – a beautiful album, by the way. And Iryna really has a nice, soft and clear voice – therefore, it is sure pleasant to hear it again. The more so – in such situation as here. "Jazova Fira" (Jazz Cart) received its name not for nothing – experienced, talented musicians already feeling a little bit cramped within the framework of folk and rock came together here. Not so cramped to absolutely abandon the language of these styles – but sufficiently to make the jazz harmony one of key decorations of the music. However, it is very much to the folklore basis – preservation of traditional colors seems to be one of conditions set for creation of their own arrangements. Thus, the album can be regarded both as jazz folk, and as ethno-lounge, and just as an experience of modern arrangement of folk music. In any case, the work sounds interesting and very nice. Maybe, another reason is that "Home for Holidays" is a winter, Christmas, carol album. Christmas is a fair holiday, and it is very cool that the album managed to sincerely and generously convey its light, cozy coloring..
