The audio album "Masterpieces of Galychyna Grand Piano Music" offered to the audience's attention – the tenth one in the "Personalia" series – represents real pearls of national music inheritance. These archipieces of grand piano repertoire by the classic composers S.Lyudkevych, M.Kolessa, V.Barvinsky, N.Nyzhankivsky cover almost the whole of its genre range – from the "prelude", specific miniature sketches, polyphonic cycle to the wide-scale form of the Concert for the grand piano with the orchestra. In spite of the thrilling variety of the images created by the composers, refined emotional states, wit of the sketches genre, in the end – expressiveness of the authors' style accents (...), there appears a surprising impression of a specific "affinity" of this music, its links to the authentic and powerful layer of Galychyna composers' school, which so originally continued Lysenko's tradition in the 20th century, enriched it with features of the European modern.
Besides, the album acquires special value due to the personality of the performer – a prominent pianist of our time, a People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor of Lviv State Music Academy named after M.Lysenko Maria Krushelnytska. Recorded in various periods, these performances not only make up quite a complete, though far not exhaustive "portrait" of the pianist; they have laid the foundation of the tradition of works interpretation concerted and "sanctified" (in the majority of cases) by the composers.
