Igor Khoma. Pisni. (Songs)
"(...) Igor Khoma formed and developed jazz oriented towards Ukrainian melos. He had the great courage to propagandize Ukrainian jazz when the soviet power tried to destroy any displays of freethinking in culture, to crush everything that contained any signs of Ukrainian nationalism. (...) Igor Khoma created unique songs. He aspired to represent his vision of Ukrainian variety music. His constant song coauthor – Roman Bondar – wrote lyrics rich in content, full of philosophical sounding. I. Khoma also composed a lot of variety songs based on his own texts. (...) Igor Khoma was a Ukrainian patriot. The songs "Silver Ring", "Spaces of Motherland", "This World, As Poppy Flower", "Well", "Cossack Ballad" teach to love Ukraine sincerely and forever..."

Taras Zhytynsky. Jikhaly batjary. Halychyna Chanson. (Batiars Were Riding)

There is no prison lyricism. While hooligan lyricism – can be found, for a batiar is never expected to be a law-abiding citizen, right? Though, Taras Zhytynsky was not afraid to crack a joke – therefore, he attributed to his songs the sounding very similar to the abovementioned Russian chanson. But let these jokes not distract your eyes – just listen to the texts, and everything will become clear.

Olexandr Smyk. Vsenoshna dlja dushi. Songs Vernissage. (Vespers for the Soul)

This is, actually, a collection of songs composed by Oleksander Smyk, which not only the author sings – one can hear here a dozen of various performers more. Including such well-known ones as Iryna Shynkaruk and Taras Zhytynsky. Thus, the disc has nothing to do with bardic songs – this is rather variety music.
