After release of the "Gloria" album, it seemed, maybe, that Okean Elzy would not be able to surpass itself – at least, in the nearest future. But, at the same time, it would have been good if it could. Possibly, OE longed for that too – because they have succeeded. They have succeeded in doing even more – once again creating something that does not resemble previous works. However, it is easier to feel the differences than to describe. It is just real, powerful rock – that very that knows well already what it is capable of and thus it does not need masquerades. It does not boast of its force and mastery, but works quietly, inspired – strong trees grow so, so a mason does not do any superfluous movements, truth ripens in one's heart so. It is just so that joy comes – when you know your freedom's face and do not turn your eyes away, do not fight a deathly fight, but simply advance. Okean Elzy advances – and freedom sounds in its music. There is no pursuit for the sake of acknowledgement – and there is no temptation of observing style limitations, but there is the ability to make it maximally as exact as you consider necessary. Sheer rock music grows from this root, creativity not for the sake of freedom, but as its direct result. I listen to these songs – and I understand that Okean Elzy has finally grown up from everything that it used to be. Right now – it has happened. As to me, accounting of new time begins for it – it is a qualitatively different level, joyful, brave labor. And its measure is in the fire of every heart.

"Sofia" is not something soft and sweet. Fresh improvisation music with the Slavonic flavor – bright and rather poignant music, which in no way fits for serving as just a background. It requires attentive listening, and it is just pleasant to listen to it attentively, to track the line of each instrument...

Mastering of this release was performed in the USA, in the studio of the legendary sound producer Bob Ludwig, whose experience during the almost half-a-century career includes work with over 1200 musicians. This mastering was born at the height of "Dolce Vita Tour" in 2010 and as brightly as possible it conveys the integral, bright sound of the live concert performance.

Виктор, 4 ноября в Киеве состоится презентация сольной программы Вакарчука "Вночі". Следующий концерт, насколько нам известно, будет в Москве. Однако презентация программы - это еще не презентация диска. Судя по всему, диск с этой программой пока не издан - хотя издание на физических носителях, конечно, планируется. Полагаем, УМКА не станет тормозить, когда диск реально будет выпущен)

I do have all albums of O.E. and this one REALLY a good one.
"Gloria" was ok., I hardly ever listen it. I wish O.E. go ahead and add some "ukrainian colour" and stop putting an old songs in a "new" album because it looks like " we couldn't write something new", and its unprofessional. I wish them all the best, and I hope the next album will be outrageously good and noetic.

Okean iznovu vydav duje garnyji al'bom. De scho podibne do poperednix robit ale vzagali vony guchat' svije. Meni duje spodobalosja scho vony vykorystaly simfonichnu muzyku. Vid pochatku i do kin'cja vidchuvaet'sja drajiv rytmu i muziki i syla tekstiv, jaki z odnogo boku neskladani, a z inshogo talanovyti. Same golovne scho gurt stvorjue svoju vlasnu muzyku - ni na kogo ne dyvycja i nikogo ne kopirue. Tak dali ji trymaty xlopci!!!

Каждый альбом ОЕ по-своему хорош. "Мера" отличается от других в корне! Океаны стали другие! Не хуже, просто другие. Мне нравится!!! Отдельное спасибо за "Пташку" и "Моя мала"

OE is completely unknown in Germany, my boyfriend brought their CDs about 4 years ago with him after a trip to Ukraine. Last thing we heard about OE was, that they've split up and that Sviatoslav Vakarchuk did a solo. For some weird reason we didn't even hear about "Gloria"! Does anybody know a website which is translated into English? I'd love to check their tour dates!

АЛЬБОМ - НАСТОЯЩИЙ ШЕДЕВР!!! Просто обажаю "Лелеки", "Моя мала". Песни имеют свой характер, душу. Была на концерте "ОЕ" - впечатлений море. Целый день потом ходила и пела их песни."Без бою" - это мой гимн, гимн моей души. Именно с этой песни началось мое увлечение "ОЕ" . Святослав, ты молодец, просто умничка. Таких, как ты, талантливых, нашей бы стране не помешало бы иметь гораздо больше. продолжай творить, жду твоих новых достижений. Удачи тебе, вдохновения, пусть почаще тебя посещает твоя МУЗА!!! :)
