Elements of jazz rock, soul, sympho jazz, or, in short, author fusion because Laura Marti is the author of both the music, the lyrics, and most of the arrangements in combination with the beautiful melodies and skillful singing rich in shades. All of these together allow for our perceiving "Shine" for example, as pop jazz in the broad (but unambiguously good) sense of this definition. That is, on the one hand, these are musical insights and solutions that are not "head on" but with the fantasy of professional jazz musicians. And on the other, all these laces of motions and patterns are thought over and embodied so confidently and easily that this ease allows one to not focus too much, but skip and let it go to the back of ones mind right away. Instead, one listens to the main melodic line, the beauty and the flexible power of the voice, the emotional colorfulness of the performance, and with the last song "I Decided to Be Happy" to suddenly catch oneself thinking: it has been a cool pop rock album. Though, due to the ingenious foundation and bright admixtures, it is arranged in a bit more complicated way than conventional pop rock, but that does not make it less energetic, moving, or mood-based. Interesting, intelligent... diverse, but in any case beautiful.

From ballads to dance, from folklore through art rock to meditation and jazz I would call this world fusion, as a lot of roots from the whole world have intertwined here.
