Mamyna kolyskova. (Mother's Lullaby)
There are no songs in the world the value of which could be compared to value of lullabies. Whatever revolutions might take place in the society and in consciousness, no matter how many changes – crucial and minor – might be the stake of every separate generation – all the same. Lullabies are among the first lessons of love, calmness, protection in human life. And one can hardly doubt that a child who hears from his or her birth – and even before that – such harmonious melodies has all chances not to forget about harmony in the future, adult life. It is especially true about Ukrainian lullabies – they are considered to be among the most beautiful ones in the world. And it means that they are able to make a child happy regardless of what language his or her parents speak – just to harmonize the space. However, of course, no recording will be able to completely replace singing of the mother – and every child considers that mum sings better than anyone else. And it is true, because the mother sings not just a lullaby. Your mother sings her soul – only for you... So, listen to these lullabies, play them for your children – but, please, do not forget to sing yourselves. Importance of this can hardly be over-estimated.
