Why "Salt Symphony"? Because this record was made in spring 2006, during the already third festival of classic music, which takes place in a Donbas town of Soledar. Actually, the concerts took place not in the town, but in a salt cave, where they used to extract rock-salt. Now – they extract valuable sounds, wonderful music... They say that acoustic properties of this salt cave are absolutely unique and unsurpassed. I hope that due to the disc you will be able to feel this uniqueness and estimate it. But, except for the atmosphere of the place – there is also the atmosphere of the action, the music. For real masterpieces of world art were, in fact, performed here – pieces by Strauss, Puccini, Mozart, Beethoven. And these were performed by experienced, acknowledged masters – but you can read more details about it in the booklet. On my part, I'd note that the pearls selected for this record create joyful and solemn mood, and there arises the space of real elated festivity.
