It turns out that "Beast Machine..." was the first album by Natalia Falion – and only then there was her winning with "Lisapetny Battalion" band at the Ukrainian talent show, and only then – the so very popular album
"Fine I Am". Well, now we can see that Falion’s signature irony is a feature characteristic of her, not an innovative invention. Perhaps, it is to this sort of people that we should be grateful for the extensive range of kolomiykas... Anyway, it is just impossible to listen to these songs without a smile – well, unless you try really hard or simply do not understand the lyrics. But there is no need for the first option, while the second one can somehow be sorted out – happily, there are enough Ukrainians around the world... In short, this is a response to all those who believe that the Ukrainian folklore is mostly pensive. Here it is, the original folklore of the modern times – and this is, after all, not the only case. It is just that not all of that reaches the phase of being released...
