Aims and objectives of the contest:
One of the important tasks of modern life is the consolidation of society around the events, promoting the best achievements in different fields of culture and art. According to historical tradition, spokesman for the advanced trends in social and humanitarian spheres is the music and architecture.
It is therefore quite natural and logical that the development and preservation of cultural heritage in the music of the waves architectural community to the Ukrainian capital - Kiev.
Previous experience in advocacy of music gained Architectural Club in the Kiev House of the architect, convinced of the need and offered hope of success for such a big event, which meant the International Guitar Festival Competition in the name of Vladimir Molotkov.
History:
A well-known Kiev guitarist, composer and teacher Vladimir Molotkov (1947-2005) made an invaluable contribution to the development of art of jazz guitar in Ukraine and abroad. His authority, the depth of understanding of music is undeniable, and had a great influence on a galaxy of his disciples and followers.
Within two years (since 2008) in Kyiv Architect House architect as a cultural initiative of the Architectural Club held musical evenings, concerts to mark the birthday of our friend. These events, in which participated as performers, many Ukrainian and foreign musicians high-level, have contributed to the emergence of the idea to expand the format to the framework of the International Guitar Festival Competition.
Format:
The contest consists of two genres: jazz and rock (including their related areas). Age categories: 15-22 years and 23-30 years
The program of festival-competition:
- Selection of participants to 31.03.2011
- Contest participants in the first age group (15-22 years) - 07.04.2011
- Contest at the second age category (23-30 years) - 08.04. 2011
- Final gala concert of the winners and guests of the festival-competition - 09.04. 2011
Contest Rules:
TAKING PART IN THE CONTEST IS ABSOLUTELY FREE!
The competition is open, passing in two stages. The first stage involved only a digital representation of the guitarist, sent on disk or by e-mail. These materials will be considered by the jury and the selected applicants to participate in the second round. Participation in the contest may be submitted in Ukrainian, Russian or English.
As a service to be established a special "Prize Winner" - by 5000UAH in every genre.
For first, second and third place each genre in each category, awards winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees and prizes.
