This is another experimental project of the Summer Jazz Night and ONLINE.fm. One battle already took place within the Summer Jazz Night project. This June, two drummers: Alexander Murenko (Ukraine) and Denis Popov (Russia), showed their great skills on the art-club’s "44" stage.
This July all music fans will be able to witness the battle of the strongest female jazz vocalists: Tamara Lukashova and Yulia Roma.
Nevertheless both vocalists are Ukrainian, this is a truly international event, because one of participants of this battle, Tamara Lukashova, has decided to improve her vocal techniques and continue to study at one of the European universities. She applied to several schools... and was accepted to four (!) of them. Tamara is going to start her study in Europe this September, although she has not decided yet which school to choose. But one thing is clear, no one knows for sure when we will be able to hear Tamara Lukasheva in Kiev again. And more important, how much will the ticket to her show cost. Don’t miss this chance.
Tamara Lukashova – female jazz vocalist, prize-winner of many international contests, including the contest of jazz vocalists in Moscow, 2008. Tamara was "The best new act of the Jazz Koktebel festival". She works with a well known music writer and piano player from Odessa, Yuri Kuznetsov. Tamara is the member of the AZIZ band and Shabanoff Syndicate.
Yulia Roma – one of the best Latin singers in Ukraine. She’s a winner of the "Do#Dj 2002" International contest. Yulia has been a teacher of jazz vocal at Glier Institute of music since 2004. Her first solo album "Heartbears" may be considered as the first English album of author jazz music on the territory of Ukraine. People say that Yulia Roma’s songs are as soft, light, and elegant as aquarelle paintings.
