Well, one wouldn't say somehow that the year 2018 was easy. But.. after the Maidan, it probably seemed clear that the coming years would not be easy. Great changes never happen quickly or easily (unless in textbooks on history, where they speak about someone else somewhere but not here). Moreover, 2019, too, is unlikely to be easy – because domestic changes are at their peak, while external ones are only gaining momentum, because everything is not moving smooth and pleasant, because the country is a huge array of ideas, processes, problems, reactions, etc. With a huge force of inertia, respectively. Moreover, as it [suddenly] turns out, the need for great change is not only about Ukraine, it's about the entire planet.
The pendulum of events does not freeze – and it is worth keeping in mind: it may only be easy for those for whom someone else makes decisions. In the worst case, this is about a master/slave situation. In our case, this may mean that it is for our children that it will be more or less easy, or even grandchildren – if today we are conscious of our decisions. And then it will be easier for us – if they are conscious of their decisions. Those who we will grow on based on our own example. There are no other role models, after all – our children learn from us, they learn from what we show them on the daily basis.
And therefore, one has to teach – oneself, to educate – oneself.
It seems obvious.
So easy.
So difficult.
Daily. With the dream that everything will be perfect, and with the calm understanding of what it will be different – because there are a lot of us, and the common "tomorrow" consists of millions, billions of "today"'s. But it's on you, on each of us – that it depends which color will prevail in that "tomorrow".
