In first days of the New Year we work out the totals for last year.
The Orange Revolution, the "Eurovision" song contest as well as other events influenced our sales in 2005. The top sellers were CDs dedicated to these events.

In the second half of the year the most popular discs were fresh pop and rock releases. Autograph sessions with Ruslana, Mad Heads XL, TNMK and Haydamaky made some CDs even more popular.

A pleasant feature of many new pop and rock releases is musicians turning to folk music. With every new album this interest becomes deeper and deeper. Now it is not only and not so much the performance of known songs which assuredly bring popularity to the performer – performers search for less known works, thus reviving almost forgotten folk songs. We would like to draw your attention to such CDs as "Korali", "Zelene" ("Green"), Vinky, Haydamaky "Perversia", Tartak and Huljajhorod and others.

Especially noteworthy is the series of discs "Golden Collection" which is presented by the company "Astra" and National Tele-Radio Company of Ukraine. The best Ukrainian music from the archives of National Radioñompany of Ukraine is presented in this series. These editions are not only very interesting musically, but we would like to also point out the quality of the execution of the discs – their design and sound quality.

MP3 Records Company has presented a series of MP3 anthologies of popular musicians such as Maria Burmaka, Skryabin, Viy and others. Publishers promise to present even more CDs of popular artists in the future.

The first one will be the album "Respublika" of the group, The Ukrainians. Not a single album of this legendary rock-group has been ever published in Ukraine.
