The man behind the mask of the Maneken – the most outstanding release of 2008, is Evgeny Filatov (aka Major) – a highly promising Producer and DJ, he delivers with his creativity and intellect the essence of electronic music to the tables. The Maneken rides the top of the electronic music wave in the underground sound flows with grace and ease. The body and mind can’t help but feel the electro funk groves, rhythms in his House driven tracks, which have a note of soul-jazz and the esthetic a Disco. His debut release "the Maneken" features 12 compositions, recorded and executed by Evgeny. Before the release of the "The Maneken" came "Magic Force" the mixed CD that is his official first single. It included tracks that have been produced over the last 3 years and some that have been taken from the album "First Look". The project existed for only a year but in this short time Evgeny not only was able to produce a collection of his personal music but also sign a contract with a large Ukrainian label – Lavina music but also with Somekind Records a label based in Paris. "First Look" is not just a collection of personally crafted tracks; it is an insight into his world – his positive attitude towards life and his love affair with music. In addition to "The Maneken’s" lyrically uplifting tracks that resonate clear and loud in every minute and second the sweet sense elegance and emotion the album also has highly dynamic dance tracks, that can be heard on many of the dance floors inside and outside the country.
"Magic Force" - represents tech-house of the highest quality, "These Lines" - beautiful deep-house with elements of cosmic-disco, and the track "Keep the Funk feat. Filosha" is what modern funk is all about. "First Look' is a first look at the growing potential of this musician, producer and singer.
