Igor Zavadsky. Festival. (2CD).

"Festival" is the fifth consecutive album by Igor Zavadsky, it consists of two discs. In addition to solo performances, a duo with the accordion, and the already traditional performance accompanied by a chamber orchestra, for the first time on the disc Igor Zavadsky used the sound of his instrument as part of a large symphonic orchestra and choir. Besides, for the first time Igor accompanied for the flute with the chamber orchestra, and in "Adagio" by Albinoni very interesting is sounding of the button accordion accompanied by a group of cellos and contrabasses.

The second disc mostly includes pieces by contemporary composers performed by the best young accordionists of Ukraine and Belarus. The youngest performer, Dmytro Mazur, at the time of the recording was 14. It is the piece "Festival" performed by Igor Zavadsky in a duet with this young talent that offered the title for the entire album. But the title "Festival" also has another symbolic meaning, since recording of the album was undertaken during a sort of mini-festivals organized by the maestro on the 175^th anniversary of inventing the accordion. At the last moment, the disc was completed with a new version of "Libertango", where Igor for the first time played in a trio with the button accordion and the acoustic guitar."
