"Pochayna" choral chapel. Shevchenkivs'ki kantaty. Ukrainian classical music.

No admirer of serious classical art, I think, will ignore this disc – and will be right. First, the choral chapel "Pochajna" long time ago already recommended itself as one of the leading Ukrainian collectives in the sphere of academic music. Among its achievements – performance of both secular and spiritual works by the best (though not always widely known) Ukrainian composers of the last centuries. At that, a lot of these works were performed by "Pochajna" for the first time – and performed at the highest level. This work, joint for the choral chapel "Pochajna" and the Honored symphonic orchestra of the NRCU is also performed at the same level. Authors of the cantatas represented here, namely M.Lysenko, K.Stetsenko. G.Verykivs'ky and L.Revuts'ky, I think, do not require extra recommendations – their glory is worldwide. Actually, as well as Shevchenko, whose poetry inspired the composers. Thus, all compound are known. Let’s listen.
