"A two-part documentary about a famous artist whom Bolsheviks burned in the boiler of a locomotive. Created based on the historical sketch by Roman Koval "Mykhaylo Havrylko: with the stack, and the sword". It tells the story of a sculptor, the author of the first (and forgotten) Shevchenko series, a Sich rifleman, the Chief of Staff of the UNR Army Gray Division, the rebel chieftain Myhaylo Havrylko.

The film uses documentary chronicles of the First World War, unique photos, interviews with experts, staged scenes, footage of feature films and documentaries. The events unfold in Poltava, Myrhorod, St. Petersburg, Kyiv, Lviv, Bolekhiv, Krakow, Paris, Freistadt, as well as at Kozatsky Khutory, the birthplace of Myhaylo Havrylko."
