It would seem that there is only one step from Romania to Ukraine – at least, in the border – but still it turns out that the fairy tale culture differs very significantly. Absolutely different fairy tales, absolutely different characters. Even the fact that once almost every kid here knew who Fet-Frumos and Illyana Kosynzyana were – does not really change the state of affairs. However, the more differences there are, the more interesting it is to hear them, isn't it? Moreover, the disc contains fairy tales of very different genres – both household, and heroic, and fantastic, and those that I personally just do not know how to identify. But I can mention another thing – I am very glad to see this collection. Due to it, Romanian fairy tales have become one of the most pleasant discoveries lately in my fairy tale lover's biography...
