At last we have already reached the 80-th. (For those who do not know, I’ll explain that we started with the 50-th. So, this is the fourth disc of this series). Properly speaking, in that way the whole epoch, forty years, passed right in front of our eyes. Still, even if not to take into consideration the previous discs of the series, all the same this collection has a very characteristic face of its own, which differs considerably from the face of modern music. Pay attention – in the 80-th of the previous century disco was performed all over the world, but the Ukrainian disco has such expressive Ukrainian features that you do not want to call this music simply “disco”. Most likely, it may be called “ethno-disco”. It is quite a strange, but all the same successful combination. By the way, the habit of adding some ethnic features to music of any trend remains with us till now. Still, disco is not the only genre you may hear at this disc, though as for me, the influence of exactly this style is felt most of all. But it is not the main thing; it is one of the components of the mixture. Sometimes this mixture is quite surprising, but all the same, not less interesting.
