We have already spoken about Ukrainian fairy tales and discussed what they are. It is a well-known fact that every nation has its fairy tales. Usually the older the tale is, the more clever it is, because in the course of the time all excess words get lost and only the essence is left. It especially concerns those fairy tales, in which the main characters are different animals and not people. Being very simple on the surface, they often bear several sense levels hidden in one another. As for me, fairy tales about people are more open. And it does not mean that they are more simple. They are just more open. I develop this idea so deeply because practically all fairy tales recorded at this disc are exactly old. Everybody knows them, but listen to them once more – may be, it is the experience, which you need now. Moreover, a lullaby sounds after each tale and these songs are extremely unusual and especial. Among the performers you can find both the trio "Lybid" and Nina Matviyenko. Besides, the tales are read very artistically – in a special way, as you might have heard them broadcast by the state radio in your childhood.

Here you can find musical illustration and simply different sounds used for obviousness, as well as good performance, that is reading of the text. That is why it is very pleasant to listen to even well known tales. Even for grown-ups.

Quality recording. Traditional approach in fairytails telling, decent actors.

I loved both the design and songs/tales combined in this cd. It's rare when you find something so complete these days. Thanks to those who have completed the disc and to you, guys, for selling it. I will continue buying things alike at your site if you continue to offer more of such valuable collections :)

What reason from this site for you if you don't know ukrainian language?

Texty nemajut'!

My mother can no longer see well and spends all of her time at home. These childrens folk tales and lullabys brought back many memories of her mother telling her these stories and memories of her childhood. She recognized most of them and enjoys listening to them.

I ordered this cd as a gift for some Ukrainian clients of mine. I have only listened to the samples on the website, but it sounds beautiful. I know their child will love it. It was really neat to get a box all the way from Kiev with foreign symbols and writing. Isn't the internet cool? Diakuju!

My 3 and 5 year old childern do not like this at all. They say its scarry, and I can see thier point. Voices are very loud and fast. The language is very heavily russified and difficult to understand.
