In fact, there is no need to speak a lot about this release – just because the pop-rock group "Gouache" has already become one of the most noticeable and interesting recent novices. The guys immediately set the goal of, so to speak, "western" quality – and they are successfully implementing their objective. Happily, this relates not only to the English language of the lyrics (by the way, they plan to record the next album they exclusively in Ukrainian) – this is, foremost, about the quality of the material, recording, presentation. And, on the whole, everything went right: having heard songs by "Gouache", our audience frequently fails to believe that it is a purely Ukrainian product sounding. Moreover, it is not for nothing that texts of all the songs are included into the booklet – they are worth reading. Possibly, it is also about the brevity of English – but behind the simple words it is absolutely possible to find here far not banal meaning. That is – it seems that the greatest part of the lyrics were written truly intelligently, not just to fill in (to create?) the hollowness. We hope that such a high-quality approach to their business will be preserved by "Gouache" in the future as well – in the end, a debut album in the form of a double (CD+DVD) release as it is already testifies to seriousness of intentions.
