It surprises, but in a very pleasant sense. Once I compared this music with literature. May be, I will not avoid doing that today, because as for me, this album looks like a skilfully composed collection – no, not even a collection of stories, but a collection of sketches, hints and moods. There is a new and bright reincarnation in it, a new look at things, a new gentle nuance. It looks like a flower, each petal of which has a different colour or shade, which emphasises the depth of other colours. It is pop-music, which has taken much from rock, and that’s why it balances on the verge of both genres and is not simply "pop". But still I think that the most important thing here is the balance between male and female, and this balance is not so much heard as felt. You see, the author of the lyrics and of the half of music is Yulia Mishchenko. Moreover, add to this fact her voice, which has a feminine peculiarity and capability to be immediately changed and to render half tones of mood and thoughts in a precise manner. Behind all that, somewhere in the background, a male constituent is felt. It is somehow difficult to identify at once how it shows itself. May be, it shows itself in the manner of performance, as it is informative enough for each song. It is like real life – each constituent remains all itself, but at the same time their interweaving and interpenetrating creates something new and special. Probably, that’s the very reason why there appears such a feeling, as if each song of this album were a separate chamber piece of music, which makes an obligatory part of a big composition, that is, of an album. It happens thanks to its own all-sufficiency and conditioning. It’s good. I will tell those who waited for this disc to be released that it was worth while waiting for it. It is worth while reading.
