On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, Vitaly Kozlovsky made a nice gesture – produced an entirely Ukrainian-language album. One really wants to say – finally. However, the backbone of the release is represented by the songs that were already included into the singer’s previous discs – but nonetheless. Currently Vitaly Kozlovsky remains the only Ukrainian pop performer who specifically dedicated release of a separate disc to the abovementioned anniversary. This is evident not only in the content of the disc, but also in its design: as is known, its polygraphy contains pictures from a photo session to which only peers of the Ukrainian Independence were invited – 20-year old boys and girls. By the way, one can also find in the booklet lyrics of all the songs represented here – which, ultimately, is also nice. But the main thing is, of course, the songs. Various. From the piercing, pensive "You Know" based on Franko’s poem – to the driving "Unsolved Dreams", from the nostalgic "Old Photos" by
Kuzma Skryabin to the soul arrangement of "Marigold"... The collection does seem good.
