Green Grey. Dve epohi. (VideoCD). (Two epochs)

You may probably know that "Green Grey" is one of the most well-known Kyiv groups not only in Ukraine but also abroad. In any case, within last few years they have occupied the highest lines of the Russian hit parade more than once. I think it happens because it is impossible to refer them unambiguously to rock- or pop-music. This unambiguity is laid in the title of the group itself. They are constantly balancing on the verge of different music styles – and at that they preserve their own style which is easily recognised in each of their compositions. Even at this disc they are accompanied by the National merited academic symphony orchestra of Ukraine. In general, for rock musicians such symbiosis is not revolutionary. But as for "Green Grey", till now I haven’t even imagined that such experiment is possible. As it turns out to be, it is not only possible but very interesting. In this renewed manner of performance even long-known compositions sound so natural that you get surprised – why it has not happened before. Even when Murik performs, accompanied by bandura. It is wonderful when old acquaintances are able to surprise you. That is why I think that two epochs – an old one and a new one – have met at this concert very successfully. I have almost forgotten – this is a video disc. That is why please being attentive. And here there is much to be seen, as this is not only a concert, but a real show, real fancy-dress scenes.
