Here, Vitaliy Ivanov started being estimated and loved already long ago – well, and his moving to Poland, probably, resulted in that interest to the musician has only increased. The more so that Vitaly is now a highly-demanded jazz musician there as well: the debut album "Returning" released by Vitaliy Ivanov Quartet in Poland had a lot of success. Nothing strange – it is exemplary European jazz in its best sense. And now we offer you to listen to the Kyiv concert recording of this album. Seemingly restrained, cool, even a bit alienated – it carries inside an unhurried but powerful wave of energy, which gradually just wipes off the distance between the scene and the audience. It sounds as very delicate, intelligent combination of clear feelings and attentive reflections. All through the time while the disc sounds, one has the haunting feeling that the musicians realize themselves and the space around literally at every second – and are able to instantly react to its every motion, because they have inside a full degree of freedom and mastery. Personally for me, this concert even turned into a sort of meditation. Probably, it would sound too loud, but – there was interpenetration and liberation, rest and saturated, joyous inner work. This sort of experiences stick in memory – consequently, release of this disc became great news. Because it seems to me that the atmosphere of that evening is not lost – it can be felt, inhaled, tasted. You only need to switch on your record player – and release yourself...
