Some of these songs could be heard at Foma's performances back in 2014. Time flies, sure – the songs have been complemented with arrangements (even orchestrations), now there are more of them. Because the theme remains unchanged – the war, which came about then, lasts as of the eve of 2018, when the album is finally released. The country is painfully transforming itself. The price is high, and it consists not only of lives and deaths. The price is loss of illusions, inoculated so long ago and so deeply that under calm conditions decades would be required for proof-reading and decontamination, perhaps. These years will be required anyway – but they will now be able to accommodate more..
..all this is said somewhat eloquently – but there is also some eloquence in the entire "Time Flied" album. But it's not really a flaw – it's just a fact that does not override what it has: good songs, sometimes chic arrangements, the recognizable lyricism in Foma's lyrics (and let's also mention the cover versions of "Duma" by Shevchenko and "Black Mountain" by Vasyl Hontarsky (Vasya Club)). It's just that there is also time for some healthy eloquence – and this seems to be the time.
