"Sad" group. Dole, de ty?! (Destiny, Where Are You?)

Within the last 20 years, I think, the slogan of this group remained the same: "Heavy metal – into every house!". Strange though it may seem, but it is felt even when listening to this acoustical disc. Taking into consideration the fact that all lyrics of this album are Taras Shevchenko’s poetry, it should be at least interesting to listen to it. Moreover, such people as I am like such things very mush. Acoustics is in general a separate stratum in rock-music. Only at first glance it seems that it is easier to play in acoustics than to play just with freaks. In actual fact, acoustics requires great quality and purity of performance and sounding, more delicate approach to sounding – otherwise, it would be simply frightful or boring to listen to it. "Sad" ("The Garden") undoubtedly managed to achieve that. Twenty years of underground did not pass in vain, experience and desire did what they had to do. Beautifully. The songs to Taras Shevchenko’s poems are performed very often, to put it mildly, and the styles of performance are different. That’s why it is twice pleasant that there are people who are able to perform it in such a way that the feeling of freshness and lightness might appear. The glance at music at another visual angle naturally excites another glance at the lyrics of songs as well. Taking into consideration the fact that Taras Shevchenko was turned into a golden idol long ago, such possibility of another glance is quite appropriate.

National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Telnyuk Sisters. Nash Shevchenko. /DVD/. (Our Shevchenko)

The concert film "Our Shevchenko" is not a kind of a formal tribute. It looks like the thunderous silence of an inner challenge in the search for truth. The severe, exacting truth, often inconvenient, incompatible with the comfortable habit of ignoring what destroys the calm, makes one realize one's own limits – and, perhaps, go beyond them.

Borys Hmyrya. Velykomu Kobzarevi. /premium, digi-pack/. (To the Great Kobzar)

The disk "To the Great Kobzar" is small in size but a valuable present for all the fans on the occasion of Taras Shevchenko's 200th anniversary. This is a special and wonderful recording. Special – because especially for this release archive records were restored, and it was done as diligently and well as it is currently possible...
Domestic price: 250.60UAH, International price: $17.90USD

Komu Vnyz. 4: Shevchenko. (EP). /digi-pack/.

..There is space both for an atmospheric ballad, and for the proprietary hard "art-bombardment", and a recitative prophecy/spell that makes you freeze – in other words, listen. A worthy succinct statement.
Domestic price: 502.60UAH, International price: $35.90USD

Borys Hmyrya. Great Kobzar in My Heart. (premium edition). /digi-pack/.

Basically, this CD is a second release of "For the Great Kobzar", copies of which have long been sold out – but. The first – and, perhaps, the most valuable – difference is that the new publication is a collection of restored records.
Domestic price: 250.60UAH, International price: $17.90USD

Це - справді хороша українська рок-музика, зіграна у форматі "unplugged". Отримую від її прослуховування море задоволення :)
...До того ж, через цю музику ніби відкривати для себе заново Шевченкову поезію...
Рекомендую послухати!
