"(...) Igor Khoma formed and developed jazz oriented towards Ukrainian melos. He had the great courage to propagandize Ukrainian jazz when the soviet power tried to destroy any displays of freethinking in culture, to crush everything that contained any signs of Ukrainian nationalism. (...) Igor Khoma created unique songs. He aspired to represent his vision of Ukrainian variety music. His constant song coauthor – Roman Bondar – wrote lyrics rich in content, full of philosophical sounding. I. Khoma also composed a lot of variety songs based on his own texts. (...) Igor Khoma was a Ukrainian patriot. The songs "Silver Ring", "Spaces of Motherland", "This World, As Poppy Flower", "Well", "Cossack Ballad" teach to love Ukraine sincerely and forever..."
