Les Podervyansky, Oleh Skrypka. Humanists.
The performance concert by Oleh Skrypka and Les Podervyansky "Humanists" took place in December, 2000. Actually, 10 years after, in January, 2011, the performance got a new life... This recording is the case of an exclusive creative collaboration of two personalities significant for the modern Ukrainian culture. It is a pity that Les Podervyansky does not sing here. Instead, Oleh Skrypka actively participates in duping the plays, and this creates an additional comic and grotesque effect. The effect that is bright, without regard to the minimalist means – it seems that you almost see the mimicry and plasticity of the performing characters... And at a certain instant it occurs to you that, seemingly, the birth in Ukraine of such phenomenon as punk-chanson, was just inevitable. And it appears that Vasyl Hontarsky or, say, Yury Zdorenko are not the only ones who were able to anticipate it...

In contrast to the premium edition, in this case we have the ordinary packaging (plastic box) and the not so limited number of copies – and that explains the more democratic price.

Attention! The recording contains obscene vocabulary.

Yevhen Rohachevsky. Razom nazavzhdy. /digi-pack/. (Together Forever)

In terms of the sound, one would call this album, quite unexpectedly, ... a collection of romantic songs. The manner of performance, the melody pattern are somewhat reminiscent of Ukrainian "vocal and instrumental ensembles" of the 1970s-80s: there was in that music a sort of sunshine, innocent, trusting openness to the world. Here – the same.

Akapulko. Dveri v Raj. /digi-pack/. (Heaven Door)

The author project by Serhiy Sakhno – the drummer of the legendary VV. "Akapulko" presents a completely new musical style, "trip-twist", as well as an incredible mix of Ukrainian melodies, dynamic hard "rock'n'pop", and the bluesy psychedelia of the 60s combined with the highly fashionable today "new sound of Berlin"...

Oleh Skrypka. Inkoly. /premium release, digi-pack/. (Sometimes)

There was Oleg Skripka solo concert in Kyiv Politechnical institute in 2005 summer. Ensemble of Song & Dance of Military Forces of Ukraine took part in that concert. The songs, that were recorded on that concert, are presented now on this beautiful CD.

Oleh Skrypka. Zhorzhyna. Bohdan Vesolovsky songs. /digi-pack/. (Dahlia)

"I consider that the "retro" style, in which the album "Dahlia" is performed, is elegant – Oleh Skrypka says. – Moreover, jazz, tango, foxtrot, swing are generally considered European and overseas genres, and with this project I want to demonstrate that our country as well has its own rich, unique and high quality music history."

Yevhen Rohachevsky. Yickij Aun. (2CD).

Rogachevsky is the current guitarist of "VV". Starting from as long back as 1998. But he was also engaged in music earlier – actually, fruits of those exercises are collected in this double disk. We admit – these fruits are strange, and not everyone will enjoy tasting them. But if you like minimalism, punk, ska and rock-and-roll – by no means pass by it.

Orest Lyuty. A ya – ne moskal. /digi-pack/. (And I am not a Moscovite)

..Anyway, the album "And I am not a Moscovite" convincingly illustrates how cleverly one can make fun of the Soviet influence and chanson (in the post-Soviet sense) miasma in the modern Ukrainian culture without resorting to brutal methods. Well, almost without it. Only by irony and, above all, self-irony – sometimes quite tough...

Gogol Bordello. Multi Kontra Culti vs. Irony.

During the recent years, Gogol Bordello has become, probably, one of the most popular eccentric bands in the entire world – while it plays not quite, so to speak, commercial music. Though, on the other hand, in these songs so much is mixed that the definition "gipsy ska-punk" does not convey even a half of it...

Vasyl Hontarsky, Yuriy "HoboT" Galinin. Vasya and Hobot.

The album is really queer, its style is "for one’s soul". To the question "for whose one?" we answer: a hippie’s one, whatever this word may mean. It is a man's dialogue with the air, when the woman has already left, but her image is still melting in the mirror. And you are in the middle of all that – what other explanations do you need? There is nothing. A hangover philosophical song.

Victor Morozov, Batiar-band "Halychyna". Til'ku vi L'vovi. L'vivs'ki batjars'ki pisni. (Only in Lviv)

This disc creates its own specific atmosphere, tender and impudent at the same time, it smells the streets, along which maidens defile dressed in clothes you can not see in our time. You know, this is a very pleasant feeling – the feeling of presence which appears while listening to this disc.

Yuri Zdorenko & Hash. Na zdorov'ja! /digi-pack/. (To Health!)

Yuriy Zdorenko & Hash spin up – and in quite an unexpected way. Actually, what could seem after release of their debut mini-album? That Zdorenko decided to cook another poignantly hot dish based on the recipe tested in the "Borsch" project. And what actually turns out?
