For the sixth time Poltava hears the sound of thunder. For the sixth time the creative-musical armada “Mazepa Fest” starts on the glorious trip through historical places. Four-day marathon in Poltava is the visual demonstration of what the country is really rich with. And rich it is – with unbelievable talents and Spirit undying, which lives in the song. We are a self-sufficient nation, and whatever the boob tube might impose upon us, we ourselves can tell grain from weed. "Mazepa Fest" plants golden seeds. This year we took the way of selective live events in Kharkiv and Dnipropatrovsk in order to better represent Eastern regions. The best bands are now in the “Mazepa Fest” family. We don’t divide music into old and new, fashionable and archaic, because we know: music is the perpetual stream through ages, it mirrors our souls. The main principles are: selfhood, originality and non-repeatedness. That is why each year we add new blood – dozens of new bands, small happenings that will become great ones tomorrow.
