You, we believe, know the everyday meaning of the word "kryivka"? Well, and in our time this is the name of one of Lviv evening and night venues – and, sure, in a venue with such name only Ukrainian music may sound. Exclusively. And not just geographically Ukrainian – but the one in Ukrainian. Therefore, the first collection "Music from Kryivka" (thus, the next ones should be expected?) is a reflection and embodiment of the abovementioned venue's aesthetics. Actually, look closer at the table of content: the foundation of the disc consists of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army's songs and modern songs devoted to the theme of people's liberation fight. And this is not only natural – in a certain sense this is actual even today... At least, in the sphere of culture there still is, so to speak, competition – and collections of this kind will definitely not be superfluous. In the end, apart from the list of songs, attention should be also paid to the list of performers: in contrast to the similar project "Our Partisans" (the joint work by Taras Chubay with musicians of Skryabin and Plach Yeremii groups), here you will hear two dozens of groups and performers from the entire Ukraine (to say nothing about the British The Ukrainians). In this sense "Music from Kryivka" rather intersects with the project "Ukrainian Heroic Song" by Oleh Skrypka. Deserved songs, deserved musicians, a wonderful collection – what else? Even the external design of this release 200% meets the definition "exclusive"))
