Stepan Galyabarda is one of those lyricists who have already long ago become real classics for Ukrainian variety art. Songs for his lyrics are known and loved by, probably, millions of people. Probably, for that he knows how in simple terms to tell life stories and situations – not always simple. And in them people recognize – their own stories. Well and, in addition, our performers like his lyrics – and for many of them it has resulted in long years of fruitful collaboration. Among his favorite colleague composers, there are O. Zlotnyk, A. Matviychuk, A. Svyatogorov, M. Mozgovyj. Among performers – O. Bilozir, the Bilonozhky couple, A. Kudlay, V. Pavlik, I. Bobul. Certainly, these are not all of them – but Galyabarda has been writing for a lot of years now, therefore the list of people with which he has co-operated is also not a short one. You will hear a certain part of products of this cooperation – this disc makes it possible to draw quite a volumetric picture of Ukrainian variety art. Romantic, strong-voiced – and, possibly, a bit naive. But – it is there.
